How We Work

Our Treatment Philosophy

At HarmonyMBS, we approach care as a collaborative process focused on developing a careful, evolving understanding of the whole person. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we want to know how your experiences unfold, interact, and may have changed over time. This process is shaped through open conversation that creates the conditions for important details to surface naturally. As understanding develops, we can adjust care thoughtfully, based on what is present rather than what is assumed. By working outside traditional insurance constraints, we can offer more time, greater continuity, and care guided by clinical judgment rather than brief, standardized encounters, insurance preapprovals, and limitations. We intentionally structure time to create space for deeper insight over time. Care is collaborative; your perspective, observations, and goals are essential to the process, and we make decisions together with clarity and intention.

We work together to keep your North Star in sight, better understand where you are, recognize the progress you’ve made, and adjust as circumstances change. Our role is to offer guidance, perspective, and tools as you move toward the life you hope to build.

Mina Heydari , PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Mina Heydari is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in California (NPI: 1992275762). She provides outpatient psychiatric care for adults, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, and medication management when clinically appropriate. She brings over 25 years of experience in mental health care, including work as a counselor and registered nurse in inpatient psychiatric units and urban community settings serving medically and socially complex populations.

Her earlier experience in pediatric and emergency care contributes to a broad medical foundation that informs her outpatient practice. Her approach is structured and integrative. Care is shaped by attention to sleep, physical health, and the personal, environmental, and support factors that influence how each individual experiences and understands what they are going through. The focus is on steady, collaborative care grounded in clinical judgment, with time structured to allow understanding to develop and care to be adjusted thoughtfully over time.

03

Comprehensive Consultation

Begin with an Initial Consultation

Care begins with developing a clearer understanding of what has been changing, how the experience has been unfolding, and what may be contributing to it. A strong starting point often emerges through the Comprehensive Evaluation, while additional context and understanding continue to develop over time. Some experiences are tied closely to stress or life circumstances, while others persist even when external pressures ease. Sleep, health history, stress load, prior treatment experiences, and the way the experience has developed over time all help shape what support may be most useful. Medication may be considered when appropriate, not simply to suppress symptoms, but to reduce the level of constant activation to a level that allows the system to regain flexibility. Care remains collaborative and adjusts over time as understanding deepens and needs change.
